Orange Spice Tallow Lotion Bars

Orange Spice Tallow Lotion Bars
These nourishing lotion bars are made with grass-fed tallow from happy, healthy cows raised on a regenerative agriculture farm local to us. Rendering and using fat is a lost art and unfortunately a part of the animal that often goes to waste. Not only is it resourceful to use rendered fat, but it’s extremely nourishing to the body inside and out. It’s a pure and simple fat— the moisturizer of “the days of old”.
The oil in our skin and tallow share many of the same lipids, allowing the tallow to deeply moisturize and nourish our skin. We’ve taken the time to render and clarify the fat into tallow here on our homestead and combine it with other nutrient-dense ingredients to create a hand lotion. The dandelion used to infuse the olive oil is grown organically right here on the Calico and Twine homestead. Combined with orange, cinnamon, and clove essential oils, these lotion bars smell like a cozy fall day!
These lotion bars are solid yet creamy, and will not leave a greasy residue. To use, simply rub the bar through your hands as you would a bar of soap! It will soften with the heat of your hands and nourish your skin.
