Simple Days of July

What is it about the balmy warmth of July that makes me want to breathe more deeply, love more tenderly, and trust so sweetly? Milky mornings and warm afternoons. The gardens advancing. Such a precious month to behold. July leaves its mark with campfire cooking, evenings spent reading out of doors, lightning bugs, blueberry picking and “Each Coming Night” by Iron and Wine playing softly in the background as a theme song for it all.

Lately my prayers and meditations have been on simplicity. As a Christian, my days should sing the song of simple devotion. Prayer and reading that feeds the hungry soul. From-scratch cooking that feeds the hungry belly. Tend the land. Wait patiently for the harvest. Love the local church. Keep the home fires burning. It really is that simple. Why must we make it so complicated?

Inspiration lags, as it usually does at the height of summertime. Is there something you would like to see me write about? Any changes you'd like to see to my newsletter emails? New product ideas for the shop? I’m always open to suggestions.

Hopefully I’dd be back here soon with renewed creativity!

Blessings on your summer,

❤️Kaetlyn
